The medical library and the miniature book – an unlikely connection

Abstract

Miniature books constitute a niche segment of library collections, but they can be found in the holdings of selected libraries around the world. The aim of this article is to present examples of miniature medical publications from library collections in Poland and the United States. As part of  the  research, selected  institutions  were  contacted  directly  to establish whether  their  collections contained miniature publications and to obtain the data and materials needed to present selected items in this article.
