Love for books makes you happy – the beneficial effects of reading on the brain
Abstract
Reading is a complex psycholinguistic process and its efficiency is dependent on proper brain functioning. Many brain and nervous structures are involved during reading. Reading influences physiological processes occurring in brain. The author discusses the importance of reading on personality, self-acceptance and human well-being.
