Summary: The purpose of this article is to discuss a three-year project implemented by the Main Library of the Medical University of Warsaw as part of the project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the dissemination of science (DUN). After a brief description of the DUN program, discussion of the project’s objectives and stages of work on retroconversion of collections, the results and benefits of the activities were presented. After the project work was completed, the objective, which assumed making the information on resources available in the online catalog, was met, and in effect - the collections were popularized among the academic community, science sector and other stakeholders.

Streszczenie: Celem artykułu jest omówienie trzyletniego projektu zrealizowanego przez Bibliotekę Główną Warszawskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego w ramach projektu Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego dotyczącego działalności upowszechniającej naukę (DUN). Po krótkiej charakterystyce programu DUN i omówieniu celów projektu i etapów pracy nad retrokonwersją zbiorów przedstawiono rezultaty podjętych działań. W efekcie prac projektowych został zrealizowany cel, jakim było udostępnienie w katalogu online informacji o zasobach, a w rezultacie – popularyzacja zbiorów wśród społeczności akademickiej, jednostek sektora nauki oraz innych interesariuszy
