The criterion for the inclusion of publications in universities' team bibliographies as illustrated by the case of the Medical University of Warsaw

Authors

Abstract

Team bibliographies compiled for research entities may be based on criteria such as employment or affiliation of the author. Are bibliographies developed on the basis of each of these criteria in any way different? Based on the data collected in the database of publication output of the staff of the Medical University of Warsaw, bibliographies of organisational units were prepared following different criteria of inclusion. The author compares the obtained sets of publications and, analysing the reasons for the differences, attempts to answer the question whether it is possible to determine which criterion of inclusion is relevant for the purpose of summarising the output of a research unit.
