Dear Readers, it is our pleasure to announce that the new issue of the “Medical Library Forum” is out. The articles you’ll find inside were inspired by the 40th Jubilee Problem Conference of Medical Libraries (Cracow, 11-12 September 2023), the summary of which can be found in this issue. It is also a jubilee publication, as the “Forum” has been continuously published for 16 years now. On this occasion, we present an article telling the story of the journal, as well as the plans for its future progress.

We wish you a pleasant read – the editorial team of the “Medical Library Forum”.

It is with great pleasure that I present to you this year’s last issue of our journal. I hope that the articles you find inside will prove to be a fascinating read during these long Winter evenings. I would especially like to point out the article by Iryna Kyrychok, the Director of the Scientific Library of the Kharkiv National Medical University in Ukraine, in which the author discusses the functioning of the library during the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as during the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War. Despite the military invasion of the Russian Federation on Ukraine, the falling missiles and the wailing alarm sirens, this modern information centre still operates, carrying out all its tasks.
